Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Insufficient Verification of Data Authenticity when using EDNS Client Subnet (ECS) queries. An attacker can inject spoofed responses by exploiting insufficient validation of answers to ECS-enabled queries, potentially causing incorrect DNS resolution or denial of service.
Workaround
Disable outgoing ECS-enabled queries.
