Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Reachable Assertion via the cache management process. An attacker can cause a service disruption by sending specially crafted DNS record requests, allowing them to be inserted into the cache, and subsequently issuing a query with the qtype parameter set to ANY.
This vulnerability can be avoided by blocking all requests with qtype of ANY.
