Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to NULL Pointer Dereference in the php_mb_check_encoding process when user-controlled input influences the encoding passed to mb_regex_encoding. An attacker can cause a segmentation fault and application crash by supplying crafted input that triggers a mismatch between encoding lists, resulting in a null pointer dereference.
