Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Heap-based Buffer Overflow in the processing of serialized values via the RESTORE command. An attacker can achieve arbitrary code execution by supplying a crafted serialized payload that triggers invalid memory access. This is only exploitable if the attacker is authenticated and has permission to execute the RESTORE command on a server with the relevant module loaded.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by restricting access to the RESTORE command using ACL rules.
