Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) when the time synchronization function receives two Pdelay_Req messages with different clockID values, due to a flaw in the 802.1as specification. An attacker on the same network can cause the the clock synchronization function of the affected port to be unavailable to all peers.

Denial of Service (DoS) describes a family of attacks, all aimed at making a system inaccessible to its intended and legitimate users.
