Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Access Control in handling user/group IDs with greater permissions than the individual user who holds them. A user can access files accessible to the client that they should not be authorized to access.
Note: The server must be version 2.14 or higher and the client must be version 2.12 or higher in order to be vulnerable.
This vulnerability can be avoided by disabling user namespaces with sysctl -w user.max_user_namespaces=0.
