Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Missing Release of Memory after Effective Lifetime in the handling of IPv6 Router Advertisement route information. An attacker can exhaust system memory and cause a crash by repeatedly sending crafted Router Advertisements containing Route Information options with a lifetime of zero, which triggers unfreed allocations in routeinfo_findalloc.
