Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling via the --zt option, which acts as a short alias for --compress-threads. An attacker can exhaust system resources by specifying a large value for --zt, causing the spawning of an unbounded number of Zstandard worker threads on the receiver, leading to thread and memory exhaustion.
