Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Stack-based Buffer Overflow in the raw_to_header function when processing TAR archive headers that contain non-null-terminated name or linkname fields. An attacker can cause a stack buffer overflow and potentially execute arbitrary code or crash the application by supplying a crafted TAR archive that is opened or parsed by the victim.
