Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Missing Report of Error Condition through the ns_resolv
function in dnsproxy.c
, when the TC (Truncated) bit is set in a DNS response, leading to incorrect length calculations and incorrect memcpy operations. An attacker can cause a system crash or execute arbitrary commands by sending a crafted DNS response.

This is only exploitable if the lookup string in ns_resolv
is NULL or an empty string.
