Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Stack-based Buffer Overflow via the GetRawInputDeviceInfoSlave handler. An attacker can leak uninitialized stack memory, including sensitive data such as return addresses and stack cookies, and subsequently trigger a stack buffer overflow by supplying an attacker-controlled length to a memcpy operation, potentially enabling execution of a ROP chain to escalate privileges to SYSTEM by chaining these flaws. This is only exploitable if hardware-enforced shadow stacks (Intel CET) are not enabled, as CET prevents ROP chain execution but does not mitigate the information leak.
