CVE-2026-34458  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-93  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie to version 1.17.3 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to CRLF Injection in the handling of IPC messages targeting sections beginning with UserSettings_ in the background service. An attacker can inject arbitrary directives into the global configuration file by including CRLF characters in the value or setting name parameters, resulting in the creation of new sandbox section headers with unrestricted permissions. This enables privilege escalation and escape from the sandbox environment.
