CWE-285  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade schedmd/slurm to version 24.05.4.1 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Authorization due to a flaw in the stepmgr process. An attacker can execute unauthorized commands or processes under another user's job by exploiting this authentication handling error. This is only exploitable if jobs are running with --stepmgr, or if SlurmctldParameters=enable_stepmgr is globally enabled in the system configuration.
