Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Stack-based Buffer Overflow via the simpleble_write function and during processing of manufacturer-specific and service data in BLE advertisements. An attacker can execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service by sending specially crafted BLE advertisement packets or by providing malicious input to the affected function. This is only exploitable if the application processes BLE advertisements or accepts input from untrusted sources.
