Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Conversion between Numeric Types in the lc_x509_extract_name_segment() function. An attacker can impersonate another certificate's identity by crafting a certificate with a Common Name field that includes the victim's name followed by 256 bytes of padding, causing the length to be truncated and resulting in a certificate that appears to have the same identity as the victim during certificate verification processes.
