The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Heap-based Buffer Overflow in the cache_digest reply handling process. An attacker can cause the process to crash by sending specially crafted digest replies from a controlled peer server. This is only exploitable if cache peering is enabled and the attacker controls a configured peer server within the same administrative domain.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by disabling cache digest processing for untrusted peers using the no-digest option in the configuration file, or by restricting cache peering exclusively to trusted domains.
