CVE-2022-41317  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-200  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade squid to version 5.7 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Information Exposure due to inconsistent handling of internal URIs, allowing a trusted client to directly access cache manager information, bypassing the manager ACL protection.

Workaround:

Users who are unable to upgrade to the fixed version should add the following to squid.conf:

acl manager url_regex +i ^[^:]+://[^/]+/squid-internal-mgr/
