CWE-863  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade sudo to version 1.9.17p1 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Authorization in sudoers.c, when processing commands sent with the -h/--host option. This option can be used by remote users to execute commands, in addition to its intended usage of listing privileges. If a sudoers file on the target system has a rule specifying privileges other than ALL or the current hostname, the user can run commands on any host by passing it as the --host value.
