Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Missing Release of Memory after Effective Lifetime in the i_readjpeg_wiol function when processing JPEG files containing repeated APP13 markers. An attacker can cause the application to exhaust available memory by supplying specially crafted JPEG files with multiple APP13 markers, leading to resource exhaustion and potential denial of service in long-running processes.
