How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 6.1.177, 6.6.144, 6.12.95, 6.18.38, 7.1.3 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Write in the __ip6_append_data() function of net/ipv6/ip6_output.c, which on the paged allocation path undersizes the linear allocation area by fraggap bytes while overstating the paged length by that same amount. A local user can write past the allocated buffer into skb_shared_info, corrupting its fragment pointers and metadata, by transmitting large IPv6 UDP packets with the MSG_MORE and MSG_SPLICE_PAGES flags. This requires the sender to combine both flags on an IPv6 UDP socket with a payload large enough to leave a nonzero fraggap carried into the next buffer.
