How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 4.19.316, 5.4.278, 5.10.219, 5.15.161, 6.1.94, 6.6.34, 6.9.5 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Buffer Overflow in the ap_parse_bitmap_str function. An attacker can cause a system crash or kernel panic by updating /sys/bus/ap/apmask or /sys/bus/ap/qmask with a relative mask value containing a numeric value that exceeds INT_MAX.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
