How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 5.4.297, 5.10.241, 5.15.190, 6.1.149, 6.6.103, 6.12.44, 6.16.4 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Buffer Overflow in the jbd2_log_do_checkpoint process. An attacker can cause the system to become unresponsive by triggering prolonged operations that prevent rescheduling, leading to a soft lockup.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
