The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Check out the EPSS documentation for more details.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Remote Code Execution (RCE) in the f2fs_scan_devices process. An attacker can cause disclosure of sensitive kernel memory and potential device corruption by providing a crafted f2fs filesystem image with a device path field that fills the maximum allowed length without a null terminator. This can result in kernel heap data, including pointers, being exposed to unprivileged userspace and may also cause denial of service by aborting the mount operation or triggering kernel faults when the malformed path is processed. This is only exploitable if a user or privileged process mounts a maliciously crafted f2fs image.
Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
