Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 5.10.253, 5.15.203, 6.1.168, 6.6.131, 6.12.80, 6.18.21, 6.19.11 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use After Free in the ovs_netdev_detach_dev process. An attacker can cause kernel memory corruption or disclosure, and potentially crash or destabilize the system by racing the teardown and destruction of Open vSwitch ports and their associated network devices through local netlink operations. This is only exploitable if the attacker has CAP_NET_ADMIN privileges in a user or network namespace that allows unprivileged user and network namespaces.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
