CWE-416  (opens in a new tab)

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 6.1.178, 6.6.145, 6.12.97, 6.18.40, 7.1.5 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Information Exposure in the teql_master_xmit process. An attacker can cause kernel memory disclosure, memory corruption, privilege escalation, or denial of service by exploiting a race condition that leads to use-after-free of Qdisc structures through concurrent manipulation of TEQL slave qdiscs and packet injection.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
