The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Check out the EPSS documentation for more details.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Buffer Overflow via the xcrb_msg_to_type6_ep11cprb_msgx function. An attacker can cause kernel heap corruption, privilege escalation, and arbitrary kernel memory disclosure by submitting crafted EP11 request blocks with attacker-controlled lengths through ioctl calls to zcrypt devices. This can result in memory corruption, denial of crypto services, or potential arbitrary code execution within the same Linux security authority.
Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
