How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 5.10.266, 5.15.217, 6.1.184, 6.6.153, 6.12.105, 6.18.46, 7.1.10 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-Bounds in the focaltech_process_rel_packet function. An attacker can cause memory corruption and potentially escalate privileges or cause a denial of service by supplying crafted PS/2 packet bytes to the touchpad, resulting in out-of-bounds writes to kernel memory.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
