How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 6.1.189, 6.6.158, 6.12.111, 6.18.53 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Write in the allocate_sdma_queue process due to missing bounds checking on the restore_sdma_id parameter. An attacker can achieve out-of-bounds kernel memory read and write by supplying a crafted value for sdma_id via the AMDKFD_IOC_CRIU_OP ioctl on /dev/kfd, potentially leading to kernel memory corruption, information disclosure, or denial of service.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
