How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 6.12.112, 6.18.53, 7.2.7 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-Bounds via the qla2x00_process_vendor_specific process. An attacker can cause out-of-bounds heap reads and potentially trigger a system panic by submitting a specially crafted request with a short request_len that leads to improper access of the vendor_cmd array. This is only exploitable if the attacker holds the CAP_SYS_RAWIO capability.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
