How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 6.1.189, 6.6.158, 6.12.111, 6.18.53 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Input Validation in the cfg80211_rx_assoc_resp process. An attacker can cause disclosure of sensitive kernel memory and potentially achieve kernel heap overflow or denial of service by sending a specially crafted, truncated 802.11 association response frame over WiFi. This can result in out-of-bounds reads and writes on the host kernel heap, leading to memory corruption or system crash.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
