How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 5.10.271, 5.15.222, 6.1.189, 6.6.158, 6.12.111, 6.18.53 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use After Free in the tb_xdp_handle_request process. An attacker can cause kernel memory disclosure, arbitrary code execution, or system crash by sending crafted XDomain control packets over a Thunderbolt/USB4 link after the domain has been stopped, leading to use-after-free of the tb->root_switch pointer.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
