How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 5.10.266, 5.15.217, 6.1.189, 6.6.158, 6.12.111, 6.18.53 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use After Free via improper management of the tb_xdomain object during the Thunderbolt service lifecycle. An attacker can achieve arbitrary kernel read and write, potentially leading to control-flow hijack or denial of service by repeatedly advertising and unplugging Thunderbolt devices to trigger use-after-free conditions.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
