How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 5.10.271, 5.15.222, 6.1.189, 6.6.158, 6.12.111, 6.18.53 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Write-what-where Condition in the vhost-scsi process. An attacker can cause arbitrary memory corruption and potentially achieve code execution in the host userspace by submitting crafted I/O commands that remain in-flight while the memory table is replaced, leading to stale response iovecs being used for command completion. This is only exploitable if the attacker has the ability to issue guest I/O while the hypervisor performs a VHOST_SET_MEM_TABLE ioctl, such as during memory hotplug or live migration.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
