The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Check out the EPSS documentation for more details.
In a few clicks we can analyze your entire application and see what components are vulnerable in your application, and suggest you quick fixes.
Test your applicationsUpgrade torvalds/linux to version 6.12.112, 6.18.54, 7.2.8 or higher.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Use After Free in the cifs_try_adding_channels process. An attacker can cause memory corruption and potentially execute arbitrary code or crash the system by manipulating SMB server responses to trigger use of freed memory during channel setup. This is only exploitable if the victim mounts a share from a malicious SMB server with multichannel enabled or max_channels set greater than one.
Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
