How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 5.15.222, 6.1.189, 6.6.158, 6.12.112, 6.18.54, 7.2.8 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') in the mhi_mbim_rx process. An attacker can cause the system to enter an infinite loop and exhaust CPU resources by crafting a malicious NDP structure that points to itself or an earlier NDP, resulting in a denial of service.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
