How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 5.10.271, 5.15.222, 6.1.189, 6.6.158, 6.12.111, 6.18.53, 7.2.7 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Open Redirect in the ipv6_srh_rcv process. An attacker can cause out-of-bounds kernel memory writes and potentially crash the system by sending specially crafted IPv6 packets with a Hop-by-Hop header followed by a Segment Routing Header (SRH) with segments_left > 0. This can lead to buffer overflows and denial of service conditions.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
