Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 6.12.111, 6.18.53, 7.2.7 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer in the is_branch_taken process. An attacker can gain arbitrary kernel read and write capabilities by exploiting mispredicted JMP32 pointer versus zero comparisons in BPF programs, allowing them to execute code or overwrite credentials within the kernel.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
