How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 6.12.112, 6.18.54, 7.2.8 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Access Restriction Bypass in the mwifiex_cfg80211_authenticate process. An attacker can cause a heap buffer overflow by providing crafted authentication data that exceeds the maximum representable frame length, leading to memory corruption. This is only exploitable if the attacker has CAP_NET_ADMIN privileges in the user namespace owning the network namespace, an up station netdev, and a suitable BSS/SAE authentication request.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
