How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 5.10.271, 5.15.222, 6.1.189, 6.6.158, 6.12.112, 6.18.54, 7.2.8 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-Bounds in the mvpp2_bm_init process. An attacker can cause memory corruption or crash the system by triggering an out-of-bounds access in the priv->page_pool array when the number of pools exceeds the maximum allowed due to improper checks during MTU changes.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
