How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 5.10.271, 5.15.222, 6.1.189, 6.6.158, 6.12.112, 6.18.54, 7.2.8 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Authentication Bypass in the hhf_change process. An attacker can cause unbounded memory allocation by supplying a large value to the hh_limit parameter, which allows each new heavy-hitter flow to bypass the hh_flows_current_cnt check and forces memory allocation for each flow under spoofed traffic. This is only exploitable if the attacker has CAP_NET_ADMIN privileges in a user namespace and can configure traffic control (tc) qdisc parameters.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
