How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 5.15.222, 6.1.189, 6.6.158, 6.12.112, 6.18.54, 7.2.8 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Information Exposure in the pppoatm_send process due to insufficient validation of the writability and linearity of the skb header and data. An attacker can cause out-of-bounds reads or unintended information disclosure by sending specially crafted packets that exploit the lack of proper checks before accessing skb data.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
