How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 5.10.271, 5.15.222, 6.1.189, 6.6.158, 6.12.112, 6.18.55, 7.2.9 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-Bounds in the ipv6_find_hdr process. An attacker can cause memory corruption and potentially execute arbitrary code or trigger a system crash by sending specially crafted IPv6 packets that manipulate extension header lengths, leading to out-of-bounds memory access during packet processing.

Note: The Linux kernel project assigns a CVE to every bug fix it ships, whether or not the bug has been shown to be exploitable. This advisory was generated from that process and has not been individually assessed for exploitability. See the kernel's CVE process documentation: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/Documentation/process/cve.rst
