CWE-400  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 2.4.29 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS). The coda_pioctl function in the coda functionality (pioctl.c) for Linux kernel 2.6.9 and 2.4.x before 2.4.29 may allow local users to cause a denial of service (crash) or execute arbitrary code via negative vi.in_size or vi.out_size values, which may trigger a buffer overflow.
