CWE-787  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade torvalds/linux to version 6.6-rc1 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Write via the netfilter subsystem. A local attacker can crash the system or potentially escalate their privileges by exploiting a missing macro that leads to a miscalculation of the h->nets array offset. This allows for arbitrary increment/decrement of a memory buffer out-of-bound.
