How to fix?

Upgrade traffic_server to version 9.2.11, 10.0.6 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling via the ESI plugin when processing nested inclusions. An attacker can exhaust system resources and cause a denial of service by sending specially crafted requests that trigger excessive inclusion depth. This is only exploitable if the ESI plugin is enabled.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by configuring the plugin with the --max-inclusion-depth setting to limit the inclusion depth.
