Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Acceptance of Extraneous Untrusted Data With Trusted Data via the acceptance and caching of address records from the additional section of DNS replies when they accompany authority section RRSets other than NS. An attacker can inject attacker-controlled address records into the DNS cache by spoofing or fragmenting DNS response packets, potentially redirecting DNS resolution for affected domains.
