The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Read in the DNSCrypt process when there is a mismatch between the number of dnscrypt-provider-cert: files and dnscrypt-secret-key: files in the configuration. An attacker can cause the server to crash by sending a specially crafted UDP packet. This is only exploitable if the software is compiled with DNSCrypt support and the configuration contains mismatched certificate and secret key files.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by ensuring that the number of 'dnscrypt-provider-cert:' files matches the number of 'dnscrypt-secret-key:' files in the configuration, or by not compiling with DNSCrypt support if it is not required. Restart the service after making configuration changes.
