Upgrade util-linux to version 2.42-rc1 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Authentication Bypass by Alternate Name via improper hostname canonicalization when invoked with -h. An attacker can bypass intended host-based access restrictions by supplying specially crafted hostnames during remote login attempts.

Note:

This is only exploitable if the target system is using PAM modules relying on PAM_RHOST for authorization decisions and have rules that distinguish between FQDNs and short hostnames.
