Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Neutralization of Special Elements in Output Used by a Downstream Component ('Injection') via the NetrwBookHistSave process. An attacker can execute arbitrary Vimscript or shell commands by crafting a directory name containing embedded single quotes, which, when serialized to the history file and later sourced, allows code execution.
