CWE-94  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade vim/vim to version 9.2.0699 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Arbitrary Code Injection in the python3complete.vim and pythoncomplete.vim process. An attacker can execute arbitrary Python code by crafting malicious docstrings in a buffer, which are inserted verbatim and unescaped into reconstructed function and class definitions that are then executed with exec() during omni-completion.
